Keep the Sparkle Alive…

Hello Loves,

There always has been something about Diwali that fascinated me. May be its the environment, the Diyas, the sparklers… I always used to be excited about Diwali. Though I am a catholic by religion but I fancied Diwali over Christmas. Well, I have no specific reason why I love Diwali and honestly I never even tried to figure it out until now. I just simply adore this “Festival of Lights”.

How I enjoy the environment that’s filled with happiness, Joy and lights…

The dazzling environment attracted me much more than anything else…

As its Diwali I couldn’t stop myself from wearing something Indian for my post this time.. So nothing more than this beautiful gift( Lehenga choli) from Flipkart from my Bestie yet again Deepa came to my mind.(Well, I must say am too lucky to have her as she loves gifting me ethnics😘😘 and I dnt think twice to grab it hehe 😜😜

However as much as I love the Indian attire I feel it might not suit me because I have an oriental features. So my mind was literally chattering whether I should? Or no?

Then finally I was like “What the heck” unless I try them how can I say “it’s going to suit me or no”? This is the mistake lot of us make .Even before we could try may be we listen to our friends, siblings, parents and convince ourselves that “yes It isn’t for me”. Well, i have done that many times.

So, This Diwali apart from the Wishes I’d also like to convey this to  all the beautiful  girls out there “Please  try and come out of your comfort zone and try something different , something which you are afraid to try and  just like me am sure you might fall in love with yourself. Well, I totally did and am sure am gonna pick few more Lehenga Choli for myself….

So Go ahead girls… Break the rules and try out something that u thought you would never try…..

Happy Diwali to all my Divas…..

Until my next post keep being Fierce and keep it stylish…..

Xo,

Beccie

I have created a similar one on pastel shades of lehenga at https://daintystreet.com/2017/05/15/ethnic-look-for-petite-girls-styling-the-lehenga/ a while.

I think the Indian attire can definitely suit people from other ethnicities, well done on embracing celebration from another culture. I went to a live storytelling about dihwali at the barbican in London a couple of years ago. It was great to learn about Ramayana, it’s such an epic fairytale style story. And it’s also great to know as I’ve seen thai and other versions depicted in temples as I travel in Asia 🙂
